5 A-side Football Competition
DISTRICT 5 A-SIDE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
Saturday 12th May.
8 teams from 7 of Farnham's groups took part:
2nds(Hale), 3rds (Scout Shop), 4ths (Tongham), 6ths Frensham, 7ths (Elstead), 11ths (Weysiders - who sent 2 teams) and 11ths (Gladstonians).
We had a great squad of 8, comprising Tom, George R, Jack, Robert, Sam, Harley, Matt and Ben L.
5 players were on the pitch at any time, with rolling subs.
The 8 teams were split into 2 leagues of 4 teams, each of which played the other 3 teams.
We went through to the semi-finals, along with Frensham, from our side of the draw.
Unfortunately we were then against a very strong team from Tongham (the eventual winners) and didn't reach the final.
Everyone on the team played really well and really enjoyed themselves.
