SPRING DANCE
Saturday 21st March - Time: 7.30 to 11.00pm.
The Spring Dance was a huge success!
It was well attended, by more than 70 people. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time. We almost ran out of draught TEA again, despite doubling up on last years order.
Len did a fantastic job, as he last year, and we wish to thank him once again for all his efforts and his support.
The exhibition dance was well received too and it's good to see youngers enjoying themselves in the world of dance - maybe stars of the future!
Here is a little video of once of the routines carried out by the young couple:-
FESTIVAL OF TRANSPORT
Sunday 7th June 2009
We will be running a BBQ stand as we did in 2008 - to great success - so we are hoping that this year will be even better. Great quality burgers, sausages and options for vegitarians.
We start at 2pm after the road cavalcade comes into the car park behind Waitrose.
We are waiting for further information about the event and a link to a web site so as soon as we have this we will post it here.
HALE FETE/CARNIVAL - 2009
Saturday July 4th 2009
For this event the 2nds will be, as usual, opening the hut for teas and refreshments, including home made cakes, from 2pm onwards.
We also plan to have some stalls at the fete, in front of the hut. In order to do this we need volunteers to help run the stalls and to help serve the teas/refreshments throughout the afternoon.
Please call Manda on 01252 718275 if you can spare some of your time to help.
