Hale Carnival and fete - JULY 2007

Hale Scouts will be offering refreshments and afternoon teas in the Scout Hut from the beginning of the fete until the early evening.
There will be many varieties of cakes and biscuits as well as tea, coffee and soft drinks available.
All at very reasonable prices!

2nd Farnham Hale Scouts Spring Ball - Saturday 29th March 2008
The evening was hosted by Len Brockwell and featured music provided by Strictly-Tempo CD's. There was a variety of music, including ballroom, old time, group party dancing, some disco and square dancing - there was something for everyone!
The event was well attended, but sadly not by parents of scouts, cubs and beavers; or other members of the scouting fraternity - though a couple of leaders did come, including Janet Fraser and Janet Watts - though Scotty missed the event by the skin of his teeth as he had been out in London and was hoping to get back in time for the last waltz. Also in attendance were some of the committee members who ensured that the evening ran smoothly.
Most of the people attending were either from, or were friends of members of, Len's dancing group. It was clear that everyone was enjoying themselves and several of the attendees said so part the way through the evening, some even suggesting that the event should be held again as they would love to come back.
A raffle was held and the many prizes graciously donated to us by local businesses were well received by the prize winners.
The evening raised a healthy amount of funds for the 2nd Farnham Hale Scouts Group, after all expenses were deducted and this will be announced at the next AGM. However if you would like to know more about how much was raised please contact Mike Stutters or Manda Bragg for the information.

October - Farmers Market - Sunday 26th
Hale Scouts will be maning the refreshment stall at the Farnham Farmers Market, held in the central car park, Farnham.
Teas, coffes, cakes and biscuits will be on sale to raise funds to support our group.

Festival of Transport - Sunday 8th June 2008
We are running a BBQ stall at this event - to keep all the hungry vistors well fed!
This follows the events parade and we shall be serving sausages, burgers - including hot dogs. We will also be serving soft drinks.
All monies raised will go towards our group. More details to follow nearer the time but DO come along and support us, as well as get yourself some wonderful burgers!
