Cubs Quiz.......
FARNHAM DISTRICT CUBS QUIZ - MARCH 2007
This year the 2nds hosted the District Cubs' quiz. Each group fielded a team of up to 5. 6 teams took part:
2nds(Hale), 3rds (Scout Shop), 4ths (Tongham), 6ths Frensham, 11ths (Weysiders ) and 11ths (Gladstonians).
Our team consisted of Fleur, Rick, Ben R, George R and Kristian.
The quiz was split into 2 sections. In the first half each team had to go around the hut answering (as a team) as many as they could of the 100 questions (10 per subject group) arranged around the walls.
At the end of this section, our team had scored really well and were in with a great chance.
In the 2nd half of the quiz, team members took it in turns to answer questions in a head to head round, against a member of an opposing team.
The first to slap the table indicating that they knew the answer got the chance to make that answer.
Hale did tremendously well, but they were just pipped at the post by Frensham - well done team!
The hard work over, the teams all took part in a sausage sizzle on the green just outside the hut - enjoying hot dogs followed by melted marsh mallows on sticks.
